I guess it probably not so much 'what do these guys know' and more a case of measuring up the strength of your quality first picked fast bowlers versus the quality of your second and third spinner. Obviously its hard to measure how much the lesser spin bowler will improve due to the pitch conditions. You would have to think though an average spinner can become a jet given our history with blokes like Krezja and O'Keefe doing very well over there.
If it was Australia over there and we picked three spin bowlers who would they be.....probably Lyon and Sweepson certs even though wrist spinners haven't always done well. Who would be the third picked. Cummins would be your pace bowler with Hazelwood and Starc missing out.
