Well who was going to do it then???

Boof- was sacked
Dizzy- doesn't want it
Manou- is the same boat as Adcock
Cosgrove- doesn't have enough brains to do it
Cam Borgas- is obviously a long term option but is struggling for form
Jason Borgas- limited 1st class exp and see above
Deitz- management clearly don't like his off field habits
Ferguson- has been struggling for form for 2 years

Watched him in a couple of district games and he struggled to get bat onto ball in those innings as well. Reckon a few on here would be just as good if not betta :D :D

Consistency is his major problem as well as the fact he gets out so softly. He can be looking quite solid but then plays a stupid shot or simply misses a straight one. It doesn't require a really good ball to get him out.

And the winner of dumbest comment of the week is......lochy!

What do you want the SACA to do? Try a new coach? They're onto their 5th or 6th in the last 10 years. They tried the young (Siddons), they tried the legend (Chappell) and they tried guys in between. Try a new captain? They gave Manou a go, they gave it to Lehmann, and the list of cantidates this season is very thin. They've given youth a go, they've tried recruiting older players, they've appointed Rod Marsh to a new position. Not sure how many things you want them to try, and EACH ONE is an admission that they're not happy with the status quo, and therefore an admission if you like that they got it wrong. Unless you just want them to come out publicly each thime they change something with a big "WE WERE WRONG" to go with it, but nobody with any sort of brains expect any organisation like the SACA to actually demean themselves and their players with anything like that.

The only time you can say what is wrong is when it's finally fixed and we can see what it took. Sometimes the reality is you're just not good enough.

Absolutely it's been too long, but that doesn't mean there is an actual solution to the problem.

I know I make alot of dumb comments but which one is the dumbest and it"s LOCKY not LOCHY.

I don't know what they can do but things aint rosey, I have a very good mate that work in the SACA until last week and then got the DCM. Perhaps, just perhaps there lies the problem in the upper Management, wouldn't be the first time a sporting side has not achieved because of upper Management problems.

And by the way I don't have too many problems with this side. Overall apart from perhaps one or 2 it is a very good side which should be more than competetive out on the Park but for some reason they are not. Guys like Cosgrove etc have the ability and skill to play at the highest level but just go into cruise mode. The question must be asked as to why??? Perhaps you answer your own question in your post with all the changes, perhaps too many at the top, people don't settle down, they get used of one coach or one leader and then off he goes, then it's back to the drawing board and a change of game plans, change of this, change of that. I wonder if in the last 7 or 8 years if the footy side you support would have won 6 premierships if things in the coaching frame had been continually changed, I doubt it, but then again Roy did inherit a great side

I'm man enough to go back on my earlier post and say a big congrats to Manou, exactly what we've needed out of him for the last 3 years. Although the pitch is pretty much a driveway, the top order failed (again) and it was up to the tail (again) to restore some pride.

Well done Graham, but the thing now is consistency. We don't need 190 out of you every innings, but a steadying 60 (whilst supporting the tail) is just what we need game in, game out.

Regardless of Deitz's failures in this match, this is the side we should be taking into Pura Cup games for the next month or so. I like the look of Delmont too.

Agree with this except for Adcock. He simply isn't good enough to play first class cricket (in this country) let alone bat at 3. He needs to be replaced. Tom Plant is the obvious candidate.

I dont think Tom Plant did a lot in his time in the Pura Cup side a couple of years ago. Hes obviously in reasonable form with his ton against SL, but I'm not convinced hes the answer.

He's a better option than Adcock.

Probably a better option at first drop, i think Adcock should be batting at 5 or 6. But yes, Adcock is obviously only in the team at the moment because hes captain, its not an ideal situation.
