There are two similarities between Ray Jordon and Doug Bollinger.

Their nicknames (Slug and Rug) rhyme...

And they are both cheats.

Well it's not much point going for the draw. 33 off 28 for Benn.

Amazing how subs always get in the act. Doropolous is getting a lot of the action.

So there you go, you could come back tomorrow and only be out there for one ball.

50 runs isn't out of the question, too. If all the luck hasn't been used up; but you do make your own luck.

Agreed, but blame Haddin as well. He would have had a better view of it than Watson.

Some of the stuff Haddin appeals for is bordering on cheating too.
Bollinger and Haddin no doubt room together for NSW.

And Watto, back to body language school for you, disgraceful actions against Gayle.
Credit to the windies, at least they aren't playing the racist card the Indians did 2 years ago.

I hope Watto keeps being a snarly sledging carryoner
WATSON
89
0/34[12]
30 top score
2/24 [12]

Think back
We declared at 7/520
And the Windies are within 51 runs

We are just gunna win, but too close to comfort
But then again the declaration has given AU ample time to bowl the Windies out TOMorrow

Special mention to the revered iconic safooty poster REB
REB bravely predicted last season that Theologos Doropolous would be the first Greek to play for AU
And he did !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did Ponting get hit in the arm or the head
Why declare ?
Quick tailend runs in the first dig are the go and often easier than 2nd innings runs
Why not be all out for 570 in another 7-8 overs

Even tho Aust look like winning, MAL was right.
Aust 1 - 0 up in the series.
Only 1/2 way thru day 2 with fine weather forecast.
Ponting Surely would have thought Aust would have a 2nd Inngs
SO, the question remains,
Why did he declare??????
Aust bowled out for a WOEFUL 150 in the 2nd Inngs, Obviously well short of what he would have liked to have set the Windies.
IF the Windies happen to fluke the last 50 odd runs and win, it will go down as one the biggest blunders of all time, losing a test after only losing 17 wickets.
Could understand the declaration if Aust were 0 - 1 down or 1 - 1 going into the test to ensure time to win .

My prediction - Aust to win series 2 - 0

My Ratings - Aust 5.5/10 barely a pass. Windies 7/10 Very creditable performance after 1st test flogging.

Ratings based on consideration to their current Test ranking.

BUT, IF the windies were to pull off a miracle win, well, well, well, Ponting may very well be asked to give the job away.

Yes, I like the fire in Watson, I would prefer him to temper himself and not carry on like he did with Gayle. That was over the top. Apart from that, I like his attitude. He tries to make things happen.

As for the declaration, I think Australia have been guilty of underestimating the Windies throughout the entire series. It's time the Aussies started to knuckle down and start playing hard Test cricket, the Australian way.

Ponting's declaration is even harder to understand when he knew he would be incapbable of batting in the 2nd innings.

Decision SENSIBLY reversed with the referral.

You could see straight away that one was missing leg stump.
It was the way Ramdin stumbled across the line of the stumps that made the umpire think the ball was straighter than it was.

By "Australian apologists", do you mean those people who don't find fault with everything the Australians do, whilst at the same time turning a blind eye to the misdemeanours of their opponents?

He got up and wasn't sure if he'd caught it, they checked with the third umpire and the correct decision was made. He didn't parade around and ***ing celebrate, "certain" that he'd caught it like Strauss did during the Ashes. Completely different and hence no backlash. Believe me, if he did what Strauss did I wouldn't be pleased; and if you're going to accuse me/others of double standards, notice you won't find anyone defending the horrendous lack of sportsmanship from Watson after he got Gayle today. Couldn't believe my eyes when he did that, images of Sreesanth's celebration after getting Symonds came flooding back. Disgraceful and I hope we never see that again.
