Yep, a Starc reality for the Poms is that they're quite Vince-able.

Do you know who opened up in the commentary box?

I'm gathering KP, Mark Nicholas and perhaps Warnie?

I’m on the road, ABC Grandstand with the great Jim Maxwell for me.

I'm sure the Aussie test team will be like any Aussie bloke at a nightclub, focusing on getting a Root cheaply.

On that note, the Poms will have to be satisfied with a bit of Handscomb in the car park.

Things seem to have steadied here.

Pitch is playing slow. The batsmen look to have plenty of time, even with Starc at 147km/h.

Don't mind the look of this Vince, seems....convincing.

It does, in the early stages anyway, look like these two have something about them.

James Vince. Not sure that's right. I think it should be Vince James. Yea, Vince James sounds better.

I'm not sure why we were written off by the media as we are actually not that bad and it's not like Australia is that good. This group might not be great but they do show fight so i expect us to be competitive but still think the Aussies will win. Stoneman looks good and Vince is very good to watch but has a tendency to get himself out after a good start.

Same crap in the lead up to the 1st Test in Australia every Summer.
Media and everyone else Hyping up the Aussie fast bowlers and saying how they will destroy the opposition batsman.
Within a few overs everyone comes back to reality and realizes that the pitches are generally batsmen friendly and the bowlers arnt Super Heroes.
If England post a half decent score here they are right i this.

The GABBA pitch always looks like it's going to zip around like a cartoon ball but ends up being quite batsman friendly.

We've probably not given them enough respect.

2 hours into a 5 Test series and you've got us pegged. Well played.

The best way to follow the Test cricket.

Not too many punches thrown in the 1st session. England would be very happy having batted through the rest of the session after losing an early wicket.

Not too many runs on the board still leaves Australia a chance to get on top quickly with a breakthrough after lunch.

Good Test cricket!

Did Australia insist that England have one?
