I've noticed for many years now umpires have been very generous in giving LBWs
Back in the 1970s, 1980s LBWs were very hard to get And you'd hardly ever get one bowling from around the wicket but these days it seems you can bowl around the wicket from as wide as possible and as long as it hits the batsman somewhere close to in front it seems you're GONE
It almost seems if umpires have been told to take the angles out of decision ,making :?
Umpiring isn't easy and we can all sit back in the comfort of our chairs and watch replay after replay but i feel the umpires need to find an in between balance between the 80s and recent times. Has there been a batsman this match that hasn't stood their ground for about 5 seconds in disbelief after being fired LBW ?

Agree with all this. Every batter should be fined for dissent, but some of the decisions are so disgraceful they have to be given some leniency.

Have a look at Silk, third ball, just terrible umpiring. Wade looked dodgy too, long way forward.

28 wickets at 25 to start his first class career is real handy

Can’t say I’ve taken notice of him to be honest, will keep an eye out
