Been the premier batsman over the last one and a half years in the SS so a like for like replacement, with a number 3 filling in for a one off test match?

Oh no FFS not Hughes! Bowl it at his hips or shoulder and he is screwed. Rogers, Rogers, Rogers. Solid as rock with the agression of Watto at three. FWIW, I reckon Ponting will play. He won't let go of that Baggy Green because he's secretly afraid he won't get it back again.

Even il agree there MAL and NFC. For mine, Watson surely deserved the MOTM.

Wickets at important times. Runs in all but 1 innings. In the winning side for the series and IMO was the most influential player!

Depends REB, The Pakistan bowlers dont lack any yards and will look at Roachs approach but with more experiance and back up than him. If his arm is not right, then you cant play him at 3. Your number 3 is the man who can take on the short pitched bowling and traditionally always your best batsmen.

Fit or not, Punter will play. Fit or not, his best is behind him. Would love to see the Punter of old carve out a big one on Boxing day.

I don't mind Watson but someone needs to pull him aside and tell him the Australian way is what goes on the field stays on the field and that after the event you just look like a goose harping on about it in the media. He cops his fine and moves on if Gayle wants to harp on about it, let him.

Look at Haddin, he was fined next day said sorry, accepted his fault in the incident with Benn and moved on. Johnson said F*** all.

Was a dead issue until Watson opened his trap three days after the event. JL get in his ear and batting coach and tell him to STFU or if he wants to bitch and moan about sh!t that happens on the field go and take up Indian citizenship
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
