Week of hot weather coming, have to get some water into that pitch ;)

No excuse for India to lose 4/0 in about 5 balls is disgraceful.

From what Ive read on this thread Ive come to this conclusion about Brad Haddins keeping in this match :
He kept well

To me its a case of the hit singles of the same SInG by The Four Seasons [1964] and by the Tremeloes [1967] ...

I have heard this will be the grassiest AO pitch for a very long time. Expect it to do plenty.

Nah all the ground staff are real pissheads here in adelaide so the pitch will have plenty of booze in it after their traditional pitch party haha.

What about that batting partnership between Dravid and Kholi
Fair dinkum they had more misses's than Errol Flynn

What about Dravid
They call him The wall
But these days heez The Wallpaper
Bowled 5 times in 6 digs
Why ?
Could it be he is that worried about the lifting ball on or outside off peg that he is overcompensating ?
He is setting up his off stump batting to counteract the Aussie quicks ?
Over focusing means he is vulne'rabble to the in dipping deliveries as I see it
Just maybe the champ, Tendulkar is also overcompensating as well, even he is getting out to indippers

I agree they are floundering with their batting process. (perhaps they need a coach but finding one older than 40 that they would listen to?)?
I also think we are improving with our bowling process through, one Craig McDermott.
The Indians may not play another test after Adelaide until Nov 2013 so they will not be looking at change now.

It was a poor decision which crushed any hopes India had of making a fightback in the match.

How was it a poor decision? - even when using DRS, he would have been given out.

.

I feel that it was a poor decision because from where the umpire stood he must surely have considered that the ball was going to miss leg stump.

In the absence of DRS, the overriding principle has always been that the batsman gets the benefit of the doubt and there should have been enough doubt for the umpire to keep the finger down.

A few months ago he made 3 tons against the number 1 test side on their soil. Age has nothing to do with it with Dravid.

Still is getting out cheaply in 1 innings of a Test Match against Australia.

Current series scores are, 68 & 10 (Melbourne), 5 & 29 (Sydney), 9 & 47 (Perth)

Laxman on the other hand has scores of 2 & 1 (Melbourne), 2 & 66 (Sydney), 31 & 0 (Perth)

Dravid only has his nose in front IMO as he has gone past 20 3 times against Laxman's 2.

Didn't realise until recently how much Shaun Marsh looks like Geoff.

Might be one of the last photos of him in the Australian team though, although I suspect he will play in Adelaide.

Am I the only person that thinks that this Australian side and their performances are being too highly rated?

I mean really we are 3-0 up against an Indian side that has half a side on the wrong side of 30, blokes at the end of their careers and dont play well on these pitches anyway and have a bowling line up that looks like it would struggle to bowl out a state side!

People are raving about the Aussie bowling stocks and performances, but they haven't really proven themselves against quality opposition IMO.

Ponting & Hussey "are back" yet apart from the 150* & 89 Hussey has hit over 30 once in his other 10 innings and Ponting 9 scores less than 30 and has never looked comfortable at the crease although continues to get good starts.

Haddin - where to start?! Batting is ordinary at best and his keeping is almost as bad as his batting!
Marsh - Struggling, why was he even put in the side considering his only lead up to the series after returning from injury was a stupid T20 game a couple of days before hand?!

I'll get excited about the Australian side when they start dominating better countries.

Geez mate....
Drew the series with South Africa in South Africa
Beat Sri Lanka Away
1-1 against NZ. 7 runs from being 2-0
3-0 against a team that was number 1 in the world a few months ago

Since the bad summer against the Poms we have improved in all areas except wicket keeping and we will go very close to beating the poms in the 10 test series when that rolls around as long as we continue to improve.

the Indian top order seemed to be reaching for the ball all the time, therefore leaving the gate wide open or edging the ball in the air. the tail enders? well, Khan should be at number 11 for a start.

Australia has not improved its batting enough to challenge Englands attack over a 5 test series by any stretch of the imagination. The Aussie bowlers have bowled well in favourable conditions and good luck to them but there is a reason why the Aussie team is ranked number 5 in the world. Day 2 saw 10/150 fall, just fortunate that Warner cashed in on the first evening when he could.
