So the Strikers have named an unchanged squad for Saturday, it's a load of toss anyway as they still name 13 and there's no real surprises.

Here's the XI that lost to Hobart.

Salt
Weatherald
Head
Carey
Wells
Rashid
Short
Neser
Siddle
Agar
Stanlake

Conway and O'Connor are the remaining two.

What changes do we make?

Stanlake is an immediate omission for mine, I have my concerns about Agar too, between the pair of them their 5 overs conceded 71 runs.

Rashid was carted but I'd rather that in a nothing game than a final, it wont happen twice in a row, I'd throw him in early as a pinch hitter too if Salt got out early, that way we keep a left/right combo out there.

Neser has been handy since opening the bowling and feeling some importance in the team.

Short is just a bit of spak-filla but has improved as the season has gone on.

I'd go Stanlake for O'Connor straight up, I'd rather see us take the pace off the ball, I'd toy with the notion of dropping Agar for Conway too, Agar leaks too many runs full stop.

Would definitely go O'Connor over Stanlake.

Agar has filled the heavy ball/wicket taker role. Stanlake has just beein leaking runs.

Stanlake has to go can’t bowl and terrible in the field
Id also drop Short as he doesn’t do anything

If trav salt jake carey wells aren’t getting runs then we are screwed anyway

Play six bowlers so if someone is getting spanked you don’t have to bowl them plus trav to sneak in an over or two

Normally i would agree with all of you about Stanlake but I think as we are playing the Thunder he must stay. He is the match up for Ross, Ross is genuinely crap against anything quicker than me. 2 spinners plays into their hands. Stanlake bowls an over up front to Khawaja, pepper him with short stuff, then save for Ross.

Pisser watching smith smoke one behind and complain about getting given out.

Still not as funny as watching Handscombe try and bat

Are the Stars one of the biggest choking teams of all times?? They dominate the minor round games but their finals record is disgraceful. Last years Grand Final loss to Renegades was massive choke.

Will need Maxwell to make 80 here to win this now!

You want to talk about chokes
Just turned over the the end of the NZ v India T20 and NZ were 3/159 chasing 165 with an over to go and lost 4/6 off the final over to force a super over

Strikers bowling first after Head won the toss.
Huge wicket with Khawaja dragging one on off of Neser, 1/19.
Neser and Siddle have started economically.

Yep, Ferg copped another stinker there!!

We rely so much on Siddle, Neser and Rashid, otherwise we would be chasing 200 every game with four overs each from Stanlake and Agar!!
