Good ball from Siddle gets rewarded, all the bowlers need to do is have patience and the wickets will come.

Very easy for a Test player - he just didn't move. Maybe thought Ponting would go for it, but it was his

Not as easy as it might sound. He made it more difficult because he reacted late and only managed to get one hand to it. It was his catch but he probably thought for a split second that it was Ponting's and that caused the problem. Just in that difficult area where the slips aren't 100% sure it's theirs unfortunately. Probably should have been taken but certainly not the most straightforward of chances.

Carried a foot injury into the match. Will most likely be out of the 3rd, especially if we win this match.

I'm slightly concerned, just slightly.

I honestly don't think Siddle will be able to bowl again today. He might tomorrow if he has a jab which takes away the pain. But where does that leave in later? We're quite possibly down to 3 bowlers, one of which being McDonald.

good point! this is why IMO hauritz should be playing. he can bowl long spells. build pressure and keep up an end. he also takes his 2 fa's ... this would allow at present the other two bowlers to go from the one end!
in saying that north and clarke are going to be very important now, and mcdonald's bowling is pretty good IMO.
