He was listed by Mal as the 12th man so who dropped out of the squad for him to play does anyone know?

surprisingly Wise is 12th man
was just a possible line up given by mal.

They were the 12 man squads yesterday
I was pre-empting who would be 12th man
Got it wrong unWISE post by me !

No worries Mal i did read later that you had 'possible' line-ups  .

Forget about the WISE cracks REB
Lets all just wait in eagerness for Jon DUTCHY Hollands bowling debut possibly today

Once again SA spinners underachieved
CULLEN 0/76[18]
OBRIEN 0/61 [17]

63 ROGERS nice debut for his new state, a star SS batsman
164 JEWELL a gem of an innings, seems to save his best for our attacks, and blunts TAIT regularly
100* HODGE what more can I say cousin a SS superstar
8* THE DAVE SS superstar

VICS have now made 4/592 v SA since Sunday
I feel sorry for the keeper and tailenders who cant get a hit

Meanwhile Richard Branson is looking at his Public Liability clause in case one of his space ships get hit when cousin HODGE is batting...

they might as well present the Redbacks with the spoon after this game. We dont have a bowling attack that will bowl sides out twice each game.

Over 105.2: Rofe to Hodge, no run, OUT, Hooks high in the air, Cleary gets under it at fine leg and takes a good catch 10m in from the rope. end of a good innings from Hodge, Quiney comes in for Victoria
Over 96.2: (2nd ball of the day) Tait to Hussey, no run, OUT, Got Him, Great start for the Redbacks, Hussey drives in the air straight down the throat of gully
i assume Hussey edged it :?

I couldn't help but despair at how long it's been since SA have won a trophy. I tracked it down though, for those that are interested in a bit of nostalgia:
