NO!!! Damnit, when is the Hilf going to get a go? :(
Probably when he moves to NSW, or there is a Test in Tasmania.
I'd like to see him get a go.

Hilfenhaus is very unlucky but Bollinger deserves his chance. The Hilf's time will come no doubt about it and when he does get his chance he will do a fine job.

I'm not sure if it's true or not but on the news today they said that our players will not be wearing their baggy green's on Day 3 (Monday) but instead will wear baggy pink's in support of Jane McGrath Day. Supposedly they will be using pink wickets on that day too.

Well im dissapointed if thats the case. I reckon Hilfenhaus' ability to get some swing with reasonable pace would make him a great addition to the bowling attack. But I guess Bollinger gets his chance. Lets see what hes got.

Only reason I see bollinger playing is we have an off spinner and two left armers will be handy to help get a bit of rough and guess home ground experience hopefully pulls another 6 for.

Aussies will smash hands down!!

Haven't seen Harris spin too many into the right-handers from outside off

Well he's been the best spinner of the series so far so I'll back him over Hauritz to get the most out of Bollinger's and Johnson's footmarks...

hey huaritz is having a go but in teh slow bowling stakaes Seth efrica are well ahead of us after the 1st two tests...

No argument that Harris has been the best spinner, but just don't think he'll get too much out of the left handers footmarks.

Talking to some South African fans they are not happy to see another left armer in the Aussie attack. This might be common knowledge (I'm not a total cricket fanatic so I wouldn't know when it comes to this sort of stuff with opposition sides) but they say their batting line up much prefers right-arm quicks.

That was obvious with Mickey Arthur's comments in the paper today. Saying how unfair it would be on Hilfenhaus if Bollinger were picked, Hilfenhaus being in the squad and Bollinger not so if Bollinger were selected the Aussie selectors would then make a mockery of themselves etc. Also on the news today they said the South Africans were "expecting" Hilfenhaus to play.

To me all of that said they were hoping Bollinger didn't get picked.

Hopefully it will prove to be a masterstroke but fwiw I still think it's ridiculous that we continue to leave a player with Hilfenhaus's ability in limbo.

Also I wonder if we'd still opt to bat first given our struggle to remove them in the second innings of both tests?

It's a matter of opinon, but there were some pretty poor sides in the mid to late 80s for Australia.
Losing by an innings to NZ in 85/86 was a fair indication.

Pretty sure there were some crappy (official) Australian sides in the original World Series Cricket days too.

Plus the Australian side that last lost a home series in a clean sweep sometime in the 19th century couldn't have been too good either ;)
