Does anyone know when the 1 dayers start and how long Roy is going to be out for?

On rebuilding a team I must agree with Rodrooster and Rikeboy.
You simply pick your best team at the time if the older players are of greater ability than a younger player. This selection process has worked for the last 5-10 years or so. Who in Australia could have done better than Mike Hussey and Stuart Clark who both got selected when 30 + years old in the last few years, and lets not forget senior batters Katich and Symonds as well.

When you have 2 players of equal ability on face value . yes go for the younger player, but Australia has had a brillaint batch of senior players to pick from.

If anyone disagrees with this selection process they need to be reminded who the number 1 team has been for over a decade in test cricket, and who won the last 50 over world cup

This endeth the lesson you pick your best team not younger duddys

First one dayer is on Friday. There is no tri series this year. There are 2 seperate series against South Africa and New Zealand.
