Aussies won the toss and are having a bat. play starts at 1:30pm

As expected West Indies have left out Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Adrian Barath because of finger and hamstring injuries. They've made another change as well, bringing in Gavin Tonge for Darren Sammy.

West Indies: 1 Chris Gayle (capt), 2 Travis Dowlin, 3 Ramnaresh Sarwan, 4 Narsingh Deonarine, 5 Dwayne Bravo, 6 Brendan Nash, 7 Denesh Ramdin (wk), 8 Gavin Tonge, 9 Sulieman Benn, 10 Ravi Rampaul, 11 Kemar Roach.

Peter Siddle has not recovered from the hamstring problem that curbed his participation in Adelaide and so Clint McKay will make his Test debut.

Australia: 1 Shane Watson, 2 Simon Katich, 3 Ricky Ponting (capt), 4 Michael Hussey, 5 Michael Clarke, 6 Marcus North, 7 Brad Haddin (wk), 8 Mitchell Johnson, 9 Nathan Hauritz, 10 Clint McKay, 11 Doug Bollinger.

Watson dropped at first slip by Gayle off Roach early.

Streaky four over fourth(?) slip, another edged short of third slip...

Also a lovely straight drive, vicious pull, strong drives...living dangerously early, 23 out of the 27 runs scored.

Drinks.

Oz 0/47.

Pitch looks nice and true, a little less bounce than you'd expect from the WACA.

Watto aggressive, Katto watchful. Think he's scored 2 2's, the rest singles.
