I would like to see a rule like in the NFL where if a player lands both feet inside the boundary then it's a fair catch

Coulter Nile did most things right when trying to catch that ball
It was a good enough effort , in my opinion
Does not deserve to be rubbished by you or anyone else for that effort

Sorry Mal I disagree.
I would think that nearly every other player out there would of taken that catch. Lyon and Harris in particular have taken some rippers at fine leg.
Coulter-Nile positioned himself poorly and paid the price

I don't think Lyon and Harris have taken any of their catches when they have been going backwards.

The problem was his starting position 15m in from the boundary which I would guess is where Clarke and Harris placed him

He did 99% of things right, got there caught it, got off the ground from the rope unfortunately all his body weight was heading towards the boundary, unfortunately he stuffed the throw back in

Regardless of what could have happened, he didn't legally complete the catch and figjam is still out there ... could be very costly.

Agree but doesn't mean it was a shit effort and your comment about a sub fielder who can field is so far off the mark considering his widely accepted by cricket experts as one of the most athletic and best fielders in oz currently.

Ps as i type Ian Chappell made the exact comments I made that's good enough for me
