I agree with every thing you have posted so far about Watson.... ROd_Rooster.
He should be getting ready for footy season when the Aussies hold up the cup in April.
I admit he has a very good technique, bowls genuinely quick. But (a) the aim of the game is to make runs and (b) take wickets, which he doesnt do regulary. He cant swing the ball or move it of the pitch. So he becomes FODDER.
His batting well... He wouldnt be in the team as just a bowler or just a batsman.
I dont see why he gets a free reign. I really dont. Im not comparing him with Hodge, Lehmann, Siddons but these blokes never played stuff all and they are twice the cricketer Watson will ever be.

For those that weren't aware there are other players playing today as well as God's gift to mal. Interestingly one of those has just brought up his hundred. Like any good opening batsman against a weak attack on a very friendly batting surface Hayden has gone on with it and not got out in the 60's
