Gee they played hard tough uncompromising cricket with out fuss and in the right spirit. The same with our boys but obvioulsy not to teh same degree as the jarpies. I stand up and applaud Sith on his leadership that he has displayed over the last three weeks. The doubts I had over him based on teh last two series have been erased.

Was great to see a hard test series played in the right spirit without one side running to their administrators when they were getting their arses kicked.

Agreed.

Really enjoyed this test series and have enormous respect for the way Graeme Smith went about things and not just yesterday but for the whole series. He really is a true leader and an excellent captain. I have a feeling SA will be very good for a long time with this current crop of players.

I can't believe this Test almost went down to the wire, what a dismal effort from Australia.

When Smith came out to bat, that brought a tear to my eye and i felt like throwing the pads back on. :(

great series so many twist and turns but isnt funny that the best series, australia always seem to lose, by best i mean closest and most interesting not 5-0 white washes i.e india 2001, ashes 2005 and now this series, what a finish to a game though i must admit i didnt like smith before this series but the way he conducted himself and captained that side my opinion has some what changed, he seems to have a bit of steve waugh about him, except tugga would've still batted 5 made a hundred and won the game with a broken finger and tennis elbow then got back into the change rooms and started singing true blue:lol:
who ever thought of the saying winning isn't everything, probably lost!!

Every innings the tail wagged by both teams to some degree, I don't think it's a dismal effort by Australia. If anything it shows the determination of both teams. We can't be world champions 24/7, even Brazil have slipped down FIFA rankings, different sport but it shows the traditional measuring stick will drop down the pecking order as everyone else does..... Let go of the era of Steve Waughs dominators, you will not see an Australian team strangle world cricket like that for a very long time.......
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?
