Younis Kahn is on $120,000 for his stint with the spuds.... and did you see that the West Indies are offering to play Pakistan next month which will mean he will play basically nothing for us

What a terrible start again.

Ferguson shits me, throws away another start. He needs to learn to go on with it but that's never going to happen I feel.

thats been the problem with the young cricketers here in sa for years - they have had exactly teh same faults for the last 4 or 5 years and havent done anything about it they are still making teh same mistakes.

ferg should not be allowed to play any one day cricket or 20/20 cricket for sa or west torrens, he should only be playing forms of teh game where he is able to bat all day then he may learn tp cpncentrate for a full day

Optimistic or drunk.

I knew it would be a bad day when that runout occurred.

The most frustrating thing about the dismissals is who has got them. Thornley has 2 wickets (and to be realistic no first class batsman should get out to him), Hauritz has 1 wicket (not quite as bad as getting out to Thornley but not far from it) and there's been a run out. All could be avoided with a bit of discipline and concentration.

Thornley is handy but to take 2 wickets in 2 balls in the opening session... throw in that runout and it's pretty ordinary. Plus Fergs gets out stupidly to Hauritz when he should have been settled.

After the win the other night I was hoping we would get off to a solid start but I should know better.

They have so much in common with North at times.

I really didn't want to say it, but I was going to predict Ferguson getting out in the 40s... one thing I would have loved to get proven wrong on.

I'm with ya LM, Manou to make a big one. Think he'll bat better at 4 down instead of 5.

If Manou reckons he's good enough to be skipper, its times like these that he should thrive. He has a partner that is set at the crease and he can just bat at his own pace and show a bit  like a captain should when his side needs someone to lead the way. You'd hope the second time around as skipper it hit home about his pride.

If he keeps making 40 - 48 runs consistently in every innings he'll finish his career with a decent first class average!!

He really needs some specialist advice/coaching because I don't think his problem is lack of technique, maybe it is a mental thing?
