I want him in but not necessarily sealed it, if Watson plays Hughes goes out, Could be the only change to the batting line up.

Cowan has to play now surely?

That's 4 tons in 4 matches.

This is the perfect chance to get Cowan into the side to open with Warner and allow Watson to slide down the order

Hughes is already out.
Its between Watson, Christian and Cowan IMO
Read an article yesterday that Watson should be available but will not be fit enough to bowl, will play as a batsman only.
If Watson doesnt pass the fitness test then Cowan may come in.

Yeah but I think the selectors love Shaun Marsh. As soon as he is fit he will come straight back in and Cowan would have to go out

Agree with you Coverking but didnt Micky Arthur come out and say that Ponting and Hussey were safe for whole series?
If Watto plays as a batsman only he will open

If Watson isn't 100% fit he shouldn't play given his history of injury.

Watson
Warner
Cowan
Ponting
Clarke
Hussey
Haddin
Christian
Siddle
Pattinson
Lyon.

I think Cowan deserves the chance now as he is in form and has proven that again today. We know Ponting and Hussey will play so that means if Watson and Cowan both play Khawaja would be the one to miss out. Also I think Christian is worth more than Starc.

Sorry guys but I dont see them dropping Khawaja. Hussey should go well before we even think of dropping Khawaja.

Either Hussey Goes, or Ponting. With our batting so bad, we need to go deep

I like this side. Is Harris fit?? Can't see them going in with 2 pace bowlers and Christian being first change and Lyon the other bowler.

Not a fan of this side. Ponting at 3 wont make double figures and Clarke's a lot better at 5. Have no confidence in Hussey at the moment. Need khawaja at 3

Cowan should have been in the test side a year ago, and even though 4 of his last 8 innings he's made triple figures, he'll get overlooked again. The selection process of the Australian team is a joke!
