Do we really want a person of that questionable standards of Behaviour on the board running cricket in this state??

F*** Me!

Correct - just another snout in the trough!! This is why we are the laughing stock of Australian cricket.
Absolutely no notice taken of the Hussey report (other than recruiting interstaters) and the Board continue to allow the same people to run cricket who have overseen a culture of failure for many years - no accountability whatsoever.
All the Board are interested in is attending the Test Match lunches!! Complete bunch of timewasters.

I note the next Shield match is next week v Tasmania in Hobart.

There's at least one change that will occur with Doggett being injured. It would be very interesting to see what other changes are made? They took Corey Kelly away for both games last week and didn't play him at all which is ridiculous. He must be considered as well after preforming in the 2nd X1 and move McAndrew or Grant up to open with Worrall. He can be the 4th seamer and also offer with the bat? Drew must surely be a chance after a big hundred in the 2nds a couple of weeks' back and another century on the weekend. He should come in for Lehmann or Nielsen? Or do they bring Pope back into the 11?

South Australian coach Jason Gillespie has revealed police apologised to his players after an investigation into alleged Covid breaches, including dancing, found they had no case to answer.

Up to 10 players, including Redbacks captain Travis Head, were reportedly behaving badly at the Cry Baby nightclub, with reports suggesting the players were rowdy and police were called to intervene.

But an investigation by the South Australian Cricket Association found the players had done nothing wrong, and the police had apologised to the players.

How about the Redbacks/SACA apologise to the state for being continually sh1thouse.

I'm hearing Lehmann dropped for Liam Scott

Would have to be at least one more change with Doggett injured. If Scott plays does that mean they spell the 4th quick and bring back Pope?

Of course they'd bring in Tim Nilesen's 2nd favourite Liam Scott. Absolute disgraceful treatment of Corey Kelly if he's left out. Take him to Perth and not play him at all so he doesn't play any cricket for 2 weeks and then drop him (he wasn't even 12th man either) - and then also not even reward Daniel Drew after his performances. Absolute joke.

Corey Kelly would stay in squad as replacement for Doggett. Liam Scott is blessed, gets a free ride.

Daniel Drew must be shaking his head, deserved to replace Lehmann on performance so far, especially Second X1 game

That is true. Against two of the weakest bowling line ups in Woodville and Port, then plays a top team on Saturday in Kensington and failed. Redbacks selectors have always said they don’t care about Grade runs, only Second X1 matches, hence why Drew would feel bit ripped off!

Just saw this on MyCricket. SA teams for Shield and 2nd X1 next week:

Shield: DJ Worrall, LA Pope, LA Scott, N Winter, NJ McAndrew, +A Carey, *TM Head, DM Grant, HJ Nielsen, J Weatherald, JM Carder, HJ Hunt

2nd X!: J Medew-Ewen, BT Capel, IB Higgins, +IW Conway, WA Agar, *J Lehmann, JS Buckingham, NA McSweeney, D Drew, TL Oakley, C Kelly, T Kelly

They've brought Winter in to replace Doggett and (as called by TC) Liam Scott gets a gig ahead of Lehmann! Daniel Drew and Corey Kelly can quite rightly be miffed but I suppose being from SA has penalised them!!

Looking at who has come into the 2nds, it may be the case that those who performed last game (Drew and Kelly x 2) will be rewarded for their good performances by being demoted in the batting lineup!!

Honestly, why bother with putting Lehmann in the B's? He wouldn't want to be there and the only reason he is there is because there is no genuine skipper amongst the group.

I'd like to see Winter's first class record comparison with a Kookaburra ball vs a Duke ball

Duke Ball 10 wickets per match, Kooka ball nil

He is totally different bowler now, just a plodder.

I agree with you so like usual I was wondering about it and looked up each states titles since 2000/2001. (I could go more in depth and look at every states win/loss record since 00/01 but that would take a bit of time).

Sheffield Shield titles-
Victoria 7 (Including 3 in a row) and 4 times runners up.
Queensland 6 and 6 runners up
NSW 5 and 4 runners up
Tasmania 3 and 3 runners up
WA 0 and 2 runners up
SA 0 (and 2 runners up

One Day Cup titles-
NSW 7 (Including 3 in a row) and 2 runners up.
Queensland 4 and 5 runners up
Western Australia 4 and 3 runners up
Tasmania 3 and 3 runners up
Victoria 2 and 5 runners up
SA 1 and 3 runners up

Hookesy turned them around as senior coach didn't he? Made Cam White captain at a young age. Not sure the record before and after Hookes?
