Has batted 22 times for 705 runs with only 1 not out at an average of 33.57 and has 5 scores over 50

The difference is that is about all Watson is capable of.

Agreed, But the hatred he was receiving was just crazy when you look at it rationally.

Haddin since the same date

27 innings 605 runs @ 26.30 with 4 not outs and 5 scores over 50.

BUT scored 318 off those runs in the first 5 of those 27 innings!!

I agreed with the removal of Watson but there must be some other blokes seriously feeling the pressure

It's just for the tour match, I think Haddin will keep in the second innings.

Unless you've read/heard something more that I haven't in regards to Haddin playing as a specialist batsman in the third test?

Good!

Looks like Rogers will be fit to play aswell, great news.

And it looks like the Edgbaston pitch will be more bowler friendly.

I think there best chance of beating us is in a low scoring game. I think our batters have better techniques, more grit and more skill but any team is capable of el collapso.

I hope that the toss doesn't play such a big part in this test match.

Matty Hayden in tomorrow's fishwrap: http://www.news.com.au/sport/cricket/matthew-hayden-presents-a-case-for-brad-haddins-recall/story-fnu2penb-1227461121393

Not far off the mark IMO....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Na, you can't have sentiments when it comes to representing your country, you have to field the best team possible IMO, Haddin isn't in that any more.

It's always caused contraversy when there's a change of keeper, Haddin's been given a few lifelines and he hasn't repaid the faithful by scoring runs, time to bow out now and be thankful of the opportunity as we will be thankful for his contributions.

Yes, it's horrible what he's been through and he is obviously very strong inside to be able to cope with what's happened in his personal level and still maintain the level of professionalism.

I'm not a huge Haddin fan but I certainly respect him and his cricketing ability.

But pretty damn good in India. Notoriously hard to bat on wickets.
Would there be many OS players with that average on the subcontinent?
