Couple of Big looking scary cracks in the pitch. Only gonna open up further. Saw very little of todays play. Is the pitch playing tricks yet?
History will show the odds still stacked heavily in WAs favor

Correct, will be very difficult batting after lunch today I would imagine. Pitch held together reasonably well so far, but it'll deteriorate rapidly given the 36 degree forecast (4th day over 30). Pitch was beginning to show signs of playing up yesterday - few shot through low, couple decked back a bit.

No easy chase at all here, think we need to make a decent dent in the deficit before lunch, and then look to be chasing less than 100 heading into the last session.

When in form, are there any players who look better striking a cover drive than Ferguson and S. Marsh?

Love watching Ferg crunch the cover drive when he's on song!

What is Weatherald doing?? He ran Ferguson out in 1st innings, and then just tried to do the same thing in 2nd innings with Ferg yet to score??

Anyone would think WHUFC is paying him to do it!

SA 2/139 at lunch.

Weatherald 72*
Ferguson 24*

Good session, trail by 185, probably need to get 100 off the middle session. That'll leave us 85 off the last session with the new ball, hopefully with plenty of wickets in hand.

Just quietly, Weatherald second in the shield runs behind Bancroft with 348 @ 69.60, 1x 100, 2x 50's (including current unbeaten knock) to back up us 337 @ 42.12 and 2x 100's, 1x 50 in the ODD stuff earlier in the year.

And didn't he clip 90-odd off 50 balls in the CA trial game against the test bowling attack?

Should he get there, Weatherald will be the first South Australian to score a 100 in each innings since Darren Lehmann hit 101* and 113 vs Tasmania in 1999.
