Aussies on top at end of day.
5/214 when stumps called 7 overs early due to bad light.
AB is all that is between us and holding them to under 300, AB just broke the World record for 50's in consecutive tests. Real terrible dismisal by DeKock off Smith. Think Clarke had seen enough of the day, umpires told him stumps would be call if he elected for the new ball so he took it and play was called off

Did they play a full days play apart from the 7 overs at the end? If so 214 is f***ing terrible.

What a disgrace of a first day pitch in South Africa, shows how intimidated they were against our quicks. Didn't help Smith though ;)

The pitch was juicy early but is already looking a bit slow and funny. Going to be a strange old pitch thats for sure. The problem is have they muted there best assests as well?

Reports say pitch was incredibly slow. Aussies did well to stick at it and get the late wickets though
