Come on mate if me and you had ten average years at shield level to practice eventually we might pick it up as well

Also if we had as many years at that level as well we might actually be a candidate for the captaincy and not have a twelve year old second to third year player selected over us

It says alot about the bloke that his never been made captain at any stage

No surprise either the redbacks have progressed exactly no where since his been there

Bit rough having a crack at a bloke for not taking the captaincy. Sometimes guys are just not meant for the job.

Rarely remember Ferg captaining at club level ever so it's probably a good thing he hasn't been offered/taken it in the first instance giving armchair critics more ammo....

1 - List more deserving players for the spot from District level.

2 - List players showing more potential to take the spot from District level

3 - List players who have not been given a fair go ahead of Ferg.

4 - You looked at the averages for all our batsmen for this year?

Maybe his Green Day commitments take up too much time.

Valente finally making his debut against Vics today, got the nod over Benton.

Reed 12th for Vics (lucky as he was at Casino 3am last night!).

Vics 0/18, solid start. Massive game for Redbacks against top side, team just does not look that great on paper anymore compared to before Xmas!

Valente bowling crap. Not fast enough to be bowling short, they are treating him with contempt. 0/32 off three is ordinary.

Talking to some of the players, the pink ball does not swing, will only swing at night which is really only the last session. Makes Valente inefficient as he is not fast enough, and gets his wickets at grade level due to his swing.

Long day ahead I think!

Vics declare at 9/325, think we have to face seven overs tonight.

Think we may be 3/10 at Stumps with this swinging pink ball again!!

Worst part is it's Cosgrove out. Now leaves the night watchman with a new batsman that it not very attacking...
