He has kept solid this test so far but he was picked for his so called superior batting to Nevill and once again he has proven he isn't up to it

I wonder if we will see more versatile batting line ups in day/night games.

If you win the toss and bat you open with your most aggressive and have your traditional openers at 5,6.

If you bowl a side out and have to bat in the night sessions have two out and out defensive batsmen open up

Starc LBW is out. That ball was hitting Middle stump.I don't care where it pitches, it's hitting middle

I know, but I'd rather if the ball didn't pitch in line and is hitting the middle stump, you are out, more so then if it pitches in line and just flicks the leg stump.

They brought in the rule for a reason. I think getting someone out LBW should be a hard thing to do.

Not sure how much of the stumps it was going to hit anyway, ball moved a long way off the deck and was already angling that way. Seemed to strike Starc closer to off stump and with the movement, would be keen to see what the projection was.

Imho the day night test has turned the Adelaide test from being the boring test into one of the most intriguing tests which is great for Adelaide and day night test cricket

I still think there is far to big a gap between batting in the day and night sessions but if they can close that gap a tad day night cricket is going to be the future of test cricket
