You got to see something from Stuart MacGill tonight that you didn't see in fifteen years of international cricket... a sprint... :D

Bit of an over reaction by too many
Yes 87 is a poor effort from the batsman
But SA + AS have batted well in this concept in the last few years
Im more concerned with the bowling at present
Missing in action who have bowled in the recent past, and mostly bowled well are :
TAIT
CHRISTIAN
POLLARD
LYON
AFRIDI
BOTHA
PUTLAND
RASHID [is that the spelling ?]

This side is missing an allrounder
Christian or Pollard would have allowed Ferguson to play tonight
Having Obrien at 6 tonight is too high for him

The Pollard injury is now exposing the Strikers

SS 8/151[20]
henREBiques 42 [37]
MADDINSON 31 [20] gem
THOMAS 3/24 [4] bowled an outstanding last over

151 was a modest total
AS has a good batting line up, and were favs at half time according to the bookies
SS are a good bowling team, I had expected a very close finish

AS 87[18.4]
BLIZZARD 27 [21] how he does not play every game is a mystery
LEE 2/17 [2.4] outstanding again
OKEEFE 3/20 [4] excellent
MCCULLUM 2/8 [2] was he a ring in, if so what a farce this comp is when you get guys like this to play so late in the tournament
MACGILL 2/12 [4] I wonder of he takes Hoggs lead, and makes himself available in 20/20 Internationals, almost good enough as well !
SMITH 1/18 [4] the full tosses he bowls in the SS often hit the fence, but in 20/20 its a wicket taker for him !

MY VOTES
3 OKEEFE
2 THOMAS
1 MCCULLUM

I'm grateful I got called into work tonight - meant I got to miss that crap.

So far the Strikers have only beaten the bottom two sides
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

Why feel sorry ? If the people that went were too dumb to realize beforehand that the A.S. were a 3rd rate team and were unlikely to provide any entertainment value, then who cares ? I went when the Redbacks played the last few seasons because they genuinely had some exciting players to watch, but name 1 player in the Stinkers team that is genuinely exciting to watch ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Quite simply, 8 teams has spread the talent far too thin.

Cam Borgas aside, no-one. And he is too inconsistent.

Out of both teams tonight...Brett Lee is the only star player.

The WORST display of batting I can ever remember seeing. Unbelievable.

What a freaking joke.

Thankfully that's our last home game as our next home game might have drawn a couple of hundred on the back of that pitiful effort.

Expensive night for the bloke who ran onto the oval after the game. I heard its now a 5k fine, and a reasonably long suspension from attending AO.

I went tonight and the only talent I saw wearing blue was sitting in the members grand stand.
Took my best mates nephew to his first game tonight to help him overcome an unhealthy computer game obsession. At the end of the game he offered to have me over for my first ever X box experience next time the Strikers play.
Incipient, inept and unacceptable are the words I choose for my match revue. The blue and white burger bar and the fillies in the crowd wearing blue both had more pride in their colour than that pack of cricket imposters

Correct, call them the Strokers or whatever you want, still being led by the same people.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.
