Watched a bit of this last night. Our bowlers just wanted to bang the ball in short, got boring very quickly. The track is absolutely dead. Well batted paki's hope this leads to a competitive series.

Finished on 157* and 119*, Azam is class and Shafiq played quite well last time Pakistan were in Australia so interested to see how they go against our test bowling attack.

Aus A currently 3/37
Burns- Golden Duck
Harris- 16
Head- 13, out to another rash shot, facing a part time off spinner in his first over FFS.

Bloody terrible, a couple of decent balls with some terrible defenses.

1st test locks

1. Warner (you know its happening)

3. Smith
4. Marnus

6. Wade
7. Paine
Bowlers easy to pick

I'm thinking Harris and Head by default, although if Shaun Marsh isn't injured he'll get a look in somewhere.

Going to be interesting to see which 3 of Mohammed Abbas, Shaheen Afridi, Imran Khan or Naseem Shah Pakistan go with for the first test.

Serious talent for a 16yr old.

Absolutely, bowled real well before the dinner break, going past the outside edge of Harris multiple times and bowled decent short stuff to Khawaja.

Tweet from journalist Andrew Peacock

“ Very happy Will Pucovski, talking to Justin Langer in the dinner break in Perth.
Test team announced tomorrow.
If that was him being told he missed out, was a funny reaction...”

Should the shield move to 5 day games. We only play 10 games of shield, so would be 10 extra days at most.

Much better than teams being forced to contrive results, would mean batsmen would be exposed to better spinning conditions having fifth day pitches and would hopefully improve our overseas batting.

Would allow batsmen who are becoming increasingly inpatient due to t20 cricket the opportunity to build massive scores if they are good enough.

Just a thought anyway.

no 6 now trav's to lose. big news coming out of Aussie camp with Pukovski pulling out again to mental health, this is the 2nd time now and is a worry with this being the 3rd player in under a month to do so. hopefully he can find a way through and get his name into that team. he is a serious talent. and i see him Head and Loosebuschange leading us into a next phase in years to come.
