Really looking forward to this series.
The Windies series was always going to be garbage but the Saffers will be a totally different series.

I can see Warner making a big hundred in the first test here.

Congratulations Australia winning this series 3-0.
Unless it rains/natural disaster/Covid22-23 or any other factor where substantial game time is lost.

Australia has an equal or better pace attack.
Australia has a world class spinner.
Australia has superior batting.
Australia is playing this series in Australia.

Wow, long period of time since we’ve beaten them here

Long time since they have been here too, 6 years. I wonder if that’s because we won’t tour there over the Christmas period?

It's an important series for both teams in terms of qualifying for the WTC Final, on the Wisden Cricket Podcast it was explained that if Australia win 3-0 and then lose 4-0 to India in India they will still qualify make the final and if South Africa win 2 of the 3 matches against Australia then go in to beat the West Indies 2-0 they will qualify for the final.

The main concern in the media for South Africa is if they can make enough runs to defend.

im guessing that is the main reason why they havent been here is that we wont tour there and they want to play at home over xmas/new year

We'll see what happens hey, very keen to see how the decision goes, Cummins trying to put the pressure on SA batters straight away. They're sticking with their 5 batters/5 bowlers line up-
Elgar
Erwee
van der Dussen
Bavuma
Zondo
Verreynne (wk)
Jansen
Maharaj
Rabada
Nortje
Ngidi

Not many of those would have toured here before if it’s been 6 years

Yes to 3 out of the 4, forgot about Maharaj even though I listened to a podcast with him on yesterday and he talked about making his debut at the WACA.

Winning the toss and not batting the pressure is on us.

Bowling is very loose.
