SA 8/400

Carey 89*
Sayers 24*

Sayers has played a brilliant supporting role in this innings to allow Carey time to play himself in and get away.

We've batted too slow.

You're cooked. We are scoring at 3.32 RPO.

Much rather see the 'back bat for 4 sessions in a row and score over 400 than roll over and be all out for barely 350 as was looking the case.

Not sure this pitch will produce a result anyway, looks pretty tame and the ground doesn't appear to be very big?

Sorry, I thought the rule was based on scoring 400 in 100 overs to gain points, still, going to be hard to bowl them out twice now.

Its good to see the redbacks putting on a decent 9th wicket partnership as its usually the opposition who we frustratingly cant dismiss

Was always going to be hard to bowl them out on this deck I think, but you never know - 2 1/2 days is a lot of cricket.

100 to Carey. Sayers dry humps him. Brilliant efforts all round.

First Shield century to Carey.

We have picked up 1.44 BP’s for our innings which isn’t too bad

Sayers out for 46 trying to bring up his maiden first class 50. :(

Devastated for him, deserved to get a 50, played a tremendous innings.

Can't say I agree with these tactics - Carey farming the strike. Hits a short ball to deep square leg and decline the single.

Labuschagne bowling absolute tripe, which included a half tracked 2 feet down leg side

Grant isn't even bothering backing up now. Only two fielders up saving a one on the off side - everyone else is on the boundary for Carey.
