What a brain fade by Meredith. Never seen anything like it. Absolutely cooked finish. Four wickets in last eight balls to win

Entering that last over, I think we could have ended up at the break anywhere between 1st and 5th

With that final excursion from the crease by Meredith, it ensured we are 1st and not 3rd

Amazingly we have 3 in the Test team, and are first in both comps - something to savour until we aren't!

That finish was both hilarious and exciting. You just can’t write this team off anymore

Why did the run? Best case and worse case scenario of getting 2 runs off the last made no difference.

A quick throw with both excitement and fatigue could have gone for overthrows.

NSW also won today, by and innings 68 runs rolling WA for 184 with 13 balls in the day left.
Jack Edwards took 5/41 in both innings and took the winning wicket.

[quote="locky801"]Why are Sa batting on, is serving no purpose whatsover

/quote]

I think you got your answer today?

Teams are probably never been better equipped to chase down large 4th innings targets so i think being a bit conservative and batting on a bit longer than what many of us think we need to isn't such a dumb tactic.

Has there ever been a bigger choke in cricket? Tas needed 7 to win off 9 balls with 4 wickets in hand with all the fielders on the fence. How could you possibly lose ????
Still hard to believe what happened

On the back of an incredible turn out and result in the Adelaide Test. South Australian cricket is at an all time high! I blame Premier Cricket!

That's the silliest thing I've seen on a cricket field since mal brought himself on when I was 60 odd.
