What do we think of our current selection panel.REB and I have discussed the fact that there are "faces" and "names" currently doing the job.Now I know someone will ask,"Well Booney, who would you get rid of and who would you replace them with?".Well,I dont know who to get rid of,or for that matter who to replace them with, but what do you people think of the current panel.
You cant knock any of them in regards to experience. What about smarts?

Trevor Hohns is the man that i would out at this stage. Lehman in or get border back in. His performance has be below par. Hence he should be dropped from the team.

Cheers, REB.
Cosgrove is in and Jaques comes in as well, both should deserve a place in the side.

Still hard to believe that they decided to give the captain a rest on Australia day. Hodge concerns me when he is in the side, you just dont know about him........

Trevor Hohns is bitter that he didn't quite cut it in the A Grade, get rid of him & his simple minded vendetta against successful Australian cricketers... Selectors-AB, Boof & Ian Chappell/Geoff Marsh

In case you don't know, REB is spearheading the
Daily Telegraph campaign against the selectors to have Phil Jacques and every other bluebagger in the Australian squad.
They make the odd boo-boo, but in the main, the Aussie selectors get it right more often than not.

No i think that they have made a few mistakes in the past and i really think that its time that someone taps old trev on the shoulder and say "your not pulling your weight, out you go, thats the end of you carrier"

What I cannot follow is they bring in Lewis who is 31, no experience and no real ability as far as we can tell, and yet they consider a younger bowler (Gillespie) with considerable ability and 10 years experience at International level to be past it.
Then they tell us they are 'grooming' a team for the next world cup, and yet they play all these losers instead of blooding players like Cosgrove who needs to be looked at sooner rather than later. I agree, Hohns has to go.

In my opinion there should be five selectors:
David Boon.
Merv Hughes.
Andrew Hilditch.
Allan Border.
Darren Lehmann.
Hohns is out. He is the chairman of selectors and the "captain" of that team if you will. They have performed like shit and hence its his fault. Also in the team he has not performed well enough to hold his spot. So out he goes.
