Cripes Boys HOW GOOD ARE? Gilly the NSW born legend and now Kat the legend has shown he finally deserves to wear the Baggy Blue Cap. Stuey Clark looking the goods on Dorey's home deck and not a Hopes in sight. Piss off Hodge, bring in Jaques and we'll be set.
BLUES BLUES BLUES..

Yaaawn.
Oh is REB posting about the amount of NS Welshmen in the Aussie team,if so,can someone let him know,we are over it.As long as the Australian team keeps winning,I couldn't care less,in fact, bring in all of them, the Redbacks are close, very close, and a couple of "outs" for the Speeblitz Blues (laugh every time),and we will be right in the trophy mix.
PS : Was Cosgrove on a weight diet,or weight loss?

What ever Cosgrove is on Booney, it has done him no end of good.
Expect to see a few Redbacks in the national side in the next few years - Tait, Cosgrove & Cullen. Hopefully then the team will cease being the same as a NSW A-Grade side!!

Nicely set up there Boon. I wish more people thought as you do..who cares where the player is from as long as Australia wins (get it Blinky Bill?). Also, the Jellybacks a BIG chance because when the Cat is away the mice can play.

I agree, I like to see Australia win too, but the South Aussie in me wants to see some more Redbacks in the side, rather than NSW players. I guess it is just home state bias.
Full credit to the NSW blokes that are in the side, they obviously deserve their place. Like you said REB, if they weren't in the national side the Redbacks would be a no-show.

I know you've only put this topic up to get a few bites Rik but I'd like to clarify one of my previous arguments about population size equating to the amount of Shield titles won. When a sport is amateur, as Sheffield Shield was essentially until roughly 1990, I believe population does have a lot to do with your ability to win. Once it becomes professional, it is a different story then because everyone has similar amounts of money, so then it comes down to dedication and profesionalism of the state bodies and the players.
Of course, each generation had it's special players that came from different places to shift the balance of power.
