I thought it would be good, instead of having a thread for every domestic game that we have a thread for all discussion on games that dont involve SA.
Two are being played at the moment.
Vic Vs WA
Victoria had a terrific first day against the star studded Warriors restricting them to 9 for 272. The big name players failed to make a big impact with Hussey 0 , Langer 27, and Gilchrist 29, all failing to have the impact they would have liked, which seems to be a trend of recent years for Australian members coming back to this WA side. Pomersbach backed up his fantastic century last week with an impressive 89 before being caught behind. The wickets were shared around by the Victorian bowlers with no bowler taking more than 2 wickets. Wade continued his good start to state cricket with 4 catches.
Bushrangers fielding was the only dark spot on a good day with both Pomersbach and Wates given 2 chances each.
QLD Vs NSW
QLD are sitting in a comfortable position at stumps with the score at 2 for 192, thanks largely to an unbeaten century from test opener Matthew Hayden (102*) against a test like bowling line up ( Stuart Clarke, Brett Lee, Nathan Bracken and Stuart MacGill) Jimmy Maher is also unbeaten on 22 when bad light forced the end of the days play. Maher and Hayden will be looking to push on toorrow as Queensland set their sights on a score in excess of 400.

Victoria have slumped to 4/43.
A brilliant century stand between Hayden and Symonds has helped Qld to 6/383. Qld briefly collapsed when they were dismissed but Noffke (what a great allrounder!) and Hartley have steaded the ship.
Haydos made 179!

WA running through the Victorian batting line up
Victoria all out 114 (gives the Warriors a nice 163 run lead and their batting line up would fail again youd think)
after being 4/99
Magoffin 3/27 (20 overs)
Innes 2/15 (13 overs)
Hogg 3/21 (12.4 overs)
and 2 run outs
Cam White (46) only player to make it past 20 for the Bushrangers

Mitchell Johnson wouldnt be happy with his first spell today, 9 overs 0/46, while his opening partner Ashley Nofkee takes 1/16 of 11 overs. And the second spell for Shaun Tait for the Redbacks all adds up to not a great day

Didnt get any better for Johnson as he finished with 0/70 of 15 overs. Hopefully Tait can bowl well against Tasmania and get the nod, obvous down side for our Pura Cup side, but hey he alone will not make us win based on current performances.

Vic Vs WA
After a terrible performance with the bat (Bowled out for 114) yesterday things have not got much better for them today with WA cruising at 5/262 which gives them a lead of over 400 which is in my view unbeatable. Hussey (59) and Langer (49) both got starts, Gichrist made a second ball duck. Marsh is unbeaten on 67 and Brad Hogg on 37. WA seem to have this match wrapped up.
NSW Vs Queensland
After Queenslands massive first innings of 467, NSW are set to chase down a massive first innings to get the points, with NSW currently sitting on 4 for 369, with REBs man Simon Katich on a brilliant unbeaten 180 and Brad Haddin on 33. Pup Clarke made 22 and the next Australian Opener made 34. Should get first innings points now. Mitchell Johnson is not giving the selectors many reasons to select him for the first test, he has figures of 0/130 of 31 overs.

Reckon he has made his last 50 in around 20 minutes, must either be some pretty ordinary bowling or he is just in superb touch and everything is going right, well done, 200 in anyones language is a great knock

Katich is an absolute gun at domestic level but finished as a Test player. Pretty handy bloke to have in your state side each week though.

The last time a triple century was scored at the SCG in a pura cup match was in the 1929-30 season and that was Bradman.
Hope he gets it.
Currently 280*

yep great knock not bad 30x 4's and 9 x 6s off about 350 balls, pretty good going, over 300 run partnership with Haddin in just on 60 overs. Perhaps now they can both open their shoulders a little seeing that the last 150 runs of their partnership came up in 71 mins

I think they already have opened their shoulders dont you?
Simon Katich scored 183 in a session, and since lunch there has been 36 overs and 264 runs at a run rate of 7.3 an over. Amazing batting really isnt it.
