Seriously, if Ponting gets injured, Gilly steps up to the plate...
He has stated in the past that he is a chucker...
Would he (or anyone for that matter) feel comfortable collecting a trophy named after a cheat...

I'm assuming you are talking about the former Sri Lankan coach, Dav Whatmore?

Realise that it's partly political but can't say I agree with a trophy being named after a player who had to have the rules changed for him to conform with them.

Murali is the best fieldsman in history
Its uncanny how often he throws the stumps down from 22 yards away.

Id prefer the Watson/Ranatunga Cup .....

Murali not happy

Murali needs 7 wickets to pass Warnes record and they say he may do that in the next test. Last test, Sri Lanka took 4 wickets - how the hell can Murali take 7 wickets in a test based on that form?

" In a recent interview with the Herald, Muralitharan revealed that, while grateful for Warne's charity work in the aftermath of the Asian tsunami, the spinners were not on good terms. Muralitharan has grown tired of what he believes to be Warne's constant insinuations that many of the Sri Lankan's Test wickets are cheap, because they came against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe."

Nahhhhhh...not cheap at all. 163???

When Barry Bonds recently broke a home run record, fans all stood in the stands with * signs.

Perhaps the same will happen when Murali passes 708 wickets.

The Warne - Muralitharan trophy?
The Warne - Muraliduran trophy?

who cares what he thinks, ever since the icc were too piss weak to do something about his action the game has been sullied to say the least, long live mic hair and ross emerson, or was it roy - anyway they were f'n right, and every time i watch motherchucka i cannot fathom how an action like that can be called legal, ok the guy has a deformed wrist, simple -" sorry mate you contravene the laws of this game and you cant play, go and join the army of something"

i am surprised warnie has been so sporting actually

The fact his action was measured, in a controlled environment, at a 14.4 degree straightening of the elbow would confirm that Hair was correct all those years ago wouldn't it? The law was different then, had to be less than 10 degrees at that time (maybe even less, can't recall exactly).
