So Warney had McGrath and Gillespie (and Lee, MacGill, Kasprowicz, S Waugh) taking wickets around him, and Muralitharan no-one (except Vaas), which means he had more opportunities.
And Murali 'beats Warne?' :roll:

When steve was a bit younger he was a good medium pacer. Took a few wickets I though I wouldnt say he took bags but was handy non the less. But probably wouldnt put him in this category.

Yep I agree, 92 wickets in't too bad an effort. BUT:

I reckon he would have taken 85%-90% of those wickets pre 1990! Long before the time of Warne...

Just under 50 wickets from the start of 1993. :oops:

but only 3 wickets in his last 58 tests since the start of 1999.
