Both questions include the Test match that started today between Sri Lanka and England:
1) How many players from all countries have played in either a Test match, a ODI or a 20/20 International, two of, or all this year? 414
2) Which player has played in the most international matches this year? (Test matches have been multiplied by 5 for a better weighting) Paul Collingwood

Incorrect, he is equal 17th in the weighted tally, and 22nd in actual matches played. He is top in the weighted average for his country, Sangakkara is top for Sri Lanka in actual matches played.

The player who has played the most matches overall is also on top of the weighted scale.

Paul Collingwood is the answer to number 2

He has played in 11 Tests (including the current match) 33 ODIs and 8 20/20s. That's a total of 96 days, or 52 matches.

No, this is every player from every country this year. So that includes Bermuda, Kenya, Netherlands, Scotland and Zimbabwe.
