The article on baggygreen.com.au states that both Jaques and Rogers are in their thirties. This might come as a surprise to the 28 year old Jaques

It wouldn't be too hard to check someones age before writing something. They must be looking for a job with the Advertiser.

Great to see Taity back in the team. Looking forward to seeing him bowl with Lee.

Tait pulled up a bit stiff after practice yesterday but Ponting cleared the air about his fitness. "He felt a bit of tightness and stiffness in his groin after practice yesterday," he said. "That's why he came in today to make sure everything was alright. There's nothing at all. He had a reasonable bowl in the nets and he's pulled up 100%. He's been waiting in the wings all of this season. He's been bowling fact and not had an opportunity. Our coach went and watched him in the Twenty20 game and said his pace was right up there."

Looking forward to this test.

Rogers and Tait in for Hogg and Hayden IMO.

Expect Sehwag to come in for Singh and Pathan to come in for H.Singh.

This pitch should suit Sehwag and Ponting will be over the moon that Singh is not playing. Kumble is one wicket away from 600 test wickets.

If the Indian side lines up as we expect then they will test centurions right down to number 9.

Australia have not lost in Perth for 10 years and i find it hard to see how they will this time either unless something magic comes from the Indian top order.

Can't believe India are going to persist with Jaffer. Struggles with the extra bounce of Aussie pitches. So out of sorts it isn't funny. Is giving Australia a gift wicket and exposes Laxman early. They are better off throwing someone else who is on the tour party in the deep end. They cant do worse than Jaffer has done so far. Having said that I think he will be a handful for the Aussies when they head to India later this year. Plays well on the Asian pitches.

If Jaffer stays in and Sehwag plays, i think you will see Dravid bat at 3 and Laxman slip down a little.

Reckon you'll find Dravid will bat lower down but we'll soon find out.

Possibly.

I think he is better suited to 3 and has played his best cricket there but i guess in current form he may be down the order a little. Not long till we find out.

I hope Australia bowl first.

India win the toss and decide to bat first.

Time to let the quicks off the leash.

Sehwag and Pathan in - Yuvraj and the harbour can't sing out.

Dravid listed to bat at three.

I think Dravid at 3 is the way to go.

Will be interesting if Laxman bats at 4 or 5.

Laxman listed to come in at 6. Poor move IMHO. He should bat at three and have Dravid come in at 6 given current form.

Looks like Ponting is going to let Mitchell Johnson waste the new ball again rather than give it to Tait who might actually use it.
