Kartik Spits @ Clarke

Stayed tuned for more on this !!!

As the players walked off the field for lunch Kartik spat @ Michael Clarke which has stemmed from the following.

Harby and his mates appealled for a close in catch against Michael Clarke which was rightfully turned down of Harbys bowling.

The Indians carried on and obviously were still carrying on whist the next bowl was about to be bowled so Michael Clarke stepped away before the next bowl was bowled which he is entitled to do.

After the over was bowled a couple of the Indians rushed Billy Bowden with alot of fingure pointing.

For every one concerned it missed Michael Clarkes bat by a fair way !!!

Yep,the best behaved team in the World...NOT ! At least they had the decency to applaud Gillys entrance onto the ground. Still if things don't go their way they spit the dummy pretty quick....

Also worth noting Sharma's in your face comments to Hayden and Clarke when he dismissed them. Very big sprays.

see he got both of them out as well but they both got a ton each before he got them, dunno whats going on with this mob and the worst one is still to come over for the one day series, that's if they stay, I am having increasing doubts that they will play the 1 day series somehow

IMO, If they go home then **** 'em. Show the cricketing world your true class, accept the ban and get on with it instead of acting like big sooks.
If they do go home I hope Cricket Australia sues them to the sky for lost revenue etc etc...

Have no doubt whatsoever that would happen if they did, is really disappointing, they have some great cricketers in the side like Sachin, Dravid, Kumble, Laxman and Ganguly, seems its the other loose cannons that cause all the strife

Camera angles can be deceiving though.
I remember big Merv spitting 5-7 metres away from Hansie Cronje and on TV it looked like he was hucking a big one at his feet.
The Indians are sooks though but the gutless ICC will only see the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and do nothing.

Merv would've been spewing (or should that be spitting) he didn't get closer !!

I dont think anything should come of it...except someone should slap Kartik in the face and say "he scored and tonne and your 12th man, shut your hole water boy".

In all serious its hard to judge the spitting incident unless you were there and could see the players and there distance to each other.

As for Sharma, if he wants to carry on like that after he has dissmissed a batsmen thats score a hundred, well crap most people wouldnt give a shit. Sharma will eventaully go to places like South Africa were the pitches godd for bowlers and someone like styen will fix him up. Like we call in instant Karma.

Sharma is a complete douche the way he carries on after he gets a wicket especially when he dismisses Hayden and Clarke after scoring hundreds, as said above, and as for Kartik spitting on Clarke, i think the ICC should put its foot down and stop being pushed around by the players, especially the Indians, and suspend him for a few matches and set the mark so no one does this again, because the more and more the ICC let things go, the players will get away with everything.

Watched all day today live at the ground and wondering who was the little cheating pr*ck at bat pad all day appealing for everything under the sun then carrying on like a school kid

What a joke the ICC need to grow some balls and throw the entire book at the lot of them.
Australia do something bordering on unsportsmanlike and the whole media labels them bullies. The opposing side can't handle a negative result and act in the same way and nothing happens

I could see Clarke didn't hit that from the Chappell stand. Harby will calm down once he gets through puberty.

Wasn't Warne or Slater was it.

Sharma is the worst, he appeals at anything and then when he gets a wicket, he runs around the pitch like a d1ckhead just after he has got Hayden or Clarke out and they have both made 100s

I don't have a problem with Sharma. He busted his a55 to get what few wickets he did get in the test and at 19 years of age you can't expect the wisdom of Soloman (or the humility of Gilchrist) when he gets out Matty Hayden, who the Indians rate as our best bat. I do however, have a problem with that wanker Kartik carrying on like a Pork Chop when the ball misses the bat by a friggin mile. Piss the professional fielder off.

REB

I'm in the pro Sharma, camp. The young bloke has come out here had a real dip so what if he lets his emotions come out - nothing worse than what our boys have done in the past....

Alls fair in love and war provided the line is crossed which it hasn't with Sharma IMHO, it is why I also don't have any real problems with Andre Nel.

However the sub-fielder and 'keeper having a crack when the batsmen is facing up well if that was me chatting then the batsmen would be well within his rights to give me a serve with interest!!!! Especially as Dhoni would only have had to look up from the Southern end to see that Billy was 100% right with his decision

Maybe not relevant but still interesting. I saw kartik, with full whites and spikes on, talking on his mobile in the members urinals at 10:40 AM on Sunday (20 min before fielding)- WTF

i like sharma too- reckon he tried his guts out this game on a horrible pitch- far too flat for a test match- and hayden gives plenty himself and has more tickets than a hoyts box office on himself- serves him right

I have to agree that I'm with the Sharma advocates too. This lad has really been taken to the end of a jetty and just chucked off to fend for himself. When was the last time Australia picked an u/20 to represent his national side. The boy has travelled to one of the most difficult places in the globe to play cricket as a visiting side and had arguably one of the greatest opening batsman try and dispatch him to the fence he got one back and possibly gained some respect from opposing batsmen.

However there is a line.............. and I'm looking at you Mr Sreesanth
