New Zealand Vs England Series

NZ have gone up 2-0 in the ODI series by humilating England in Hamilton.

In a rain affected match England made 158 from 35 although thast target got increased by the Duckworth Lewis to 165. Cook the only batsmen to get going making 53 before being run out by his teammate Bopara. Vetori the best of the bowlers with 2-16

Then the trouble started, Both Jesse Ryder (8) and Brendan McCullum (0) were dropped before 10. After this it was all down hill. McCullum posted his half century in 27 balls while fellow opener Jesse Ryder coasted along to bring up his first ODI 50 in 39 deliverys.

The game finished with the NZ pair eclipsing the highest opening run partnership in ODIs against England and NZ breezed to victory scoring 0/165 in an amazing 18 overs. Ryder finished with 79* and McCullum 80* from just 47 balls. Anderson, Broad and Swann the bowlers who copped the most flack all going for more than 10 an over.

How will England recover from this? Hard to see them doing it.

England are terrible, yeah they won the 20/20 but they have been pantsed by NZ twice in the 50 over matches thus far.

McCullum is a super talent with the bat when he gets going.

My tip in Baymans thread is looking good at the moment.

NZ won the toss in the 4th ODI and sent England into bat.

England are now 5/310 in the 48th over.

Cook 69
Mustard 83
Bell 43
Pieterson 50
Collingwood 44*

Vettori 2/66 from 9. Very unlike Daniel.

England ended up posting 6/340

Collingwood unbeaten on 54 from 30 balls. Brought up his half century in 24 balls. Hit six 6's and zero boundarys.

NZ will have trouble chaing that down.

Ryder the man out for 39

How 52 from 48

Currently going at 6.57 rpo with a required rr of 7.04 rpo for the remaining 26 overs

England are currently playing New Zealand select XI in a warm up game for the test series starting next week and England would not be happy with how things are going.

England All Out 133- KP 50, O Brien 4/24

NZ- 0/69- Bell 25*, Howe 35*

Shocking start.
