Redbacks Vs Warriors

Apparently Manou dropped a sitter off Gillespie when Rogers was on 2.
This might not be a good omen.

1-132 - Langer 69*, Cullen 1/19.

Good to see the Redbacks of old are back to waste another good season.
I'm gonna break my rusty cage and run

Great work by Cricket Australia's very professional website.

WA playing with 10 men:

Bandy doesn`t appear on this site, updates of his scores will be shown in Milestones

Well WA are 5 down now, we would have to bowl them out very quickly and chase runs, not going to happen at this stage.

I was over in Perth over the weekend and got to see a bit of play on Friday, all I can say is that the WA people could not beleive their luck when Boof won the toss and sent them in. I don't really know what was going through his mind, that decision could have cost us the game.

WA played really well on Friday with some attacking batting, in particular Langer who treated Rofe like he was a medium pacer. Cullen was the only one who looked dangerous. Tait was fast but didn't do much damage. It was very hot over there so it was a good effort to bounce back on a good batting track.

Having said all that they have yet again dissapointed in the last few games and don't deserve to play in the final. Will there be any accountability?? I doubt it, just more talk of what next season might hold. Phillips was lucky to get his contract renewed when he did, as since then they have been next to pathetic with a slight fight in this game not helped by some occasional poor captaincy.

4/274 in a full day's play could hardly be called 'attacking'. And Rofe IS a medium pacer .. on a good day slightly above medium pace.

Although I think SA got what we deserve for sending WA in, I couldn't believe people such as Kim Hughes and Terry Alderman criticising SA for not declaring behind and giving WA the 2 points, and then blaming Lehmann for turning the game into a boring one. Facts are that had SA or WA only got 2 points, either side could still make the final with 6 points in the final match.

And WA batted slowly on the first day, but somehow SA are at fault for not trying to make the 409 runs required for 1st Unnings points :? Whereas I disagree with Lehmann bowling first, I applaud his decision to chase the 1st Innings tally. Too many times over the years SA has handed points to opposition teams in an attempt to set up a game, and how many other states have done that for us? None. This was Lehmann's way of telling the rest of Australia the Redbacks are no longer a soft touch, and it takes TWO teams to make a game entertaining, not just South Australia every time.
