FINAL ROUND OF PURA CUP WHO WILL PLAY QUEENSLAND

The Final Round of Matches is:
Tasmania v Queensland @ Bellerive Oval
Victoria v Western Australia @ Junction Oval
South Australia v NSW @ Adelaide Oval

The Standings are:
Queensland 34
Vicotria 24
WA 20
NSW 20
SA 20
Tasmania 20

You really couldn't get a closer contest. The Test selectors could play a part in who makes it as no players selected to go to SOuth Africa will be able to play for there State again this summer.

Justin Langer may kick himself for not looking for and Outright against SA as now they would need atleast a First Innings win, but most likely an Outright to play in the Final.
With the Victorian weather and the tricks it plays there is every chance of rain playing a part in that game. If Victoria were to win on first innings there in no way they would be looking for an outright unless they were a sure thing.

I would like to think that the opponent for Queensland will come from the SA v NSW game and without MacGill I think NSW will lack a dominant spinner to tear SA apart. If Tait and Gillespie miss Test selection I think SA are a good chance. With both sides needing 6 points the Outright or a thrilling Draw will be the result in this one.

Queensland and Tasmania will battle out a run fest at Bellerieve with it taking a sporting decleration or two to get the Outright Tasmania needs. I see Queensland taking the two points from this and the game ending in a Draw or Queensland Outright win.

My Prediction is a Queensland v South Australia Final with Queensland taking it out.

Good analysis Punter.

I can't see any side beating Qld in Brisbane in the final, but it would be nice if we were able to be the ones there to cause the upset.

15 wickets at just under 59 this summer would suggest otherwise.

WA are now on 22 points. Would expect a result in the WA vs Vic game so my tip is a Qld vs Vic Final. SA and NSW playing off for the wooden spoon #-o

Would be great but we really need to score some runs first.
