Can we really argue?

Katich and Noffke have performed this year, our blokes didn't.

High performance sport is all about performing/results.

Should serve as a motivation for both Cullen and Dan to keep developing and perform in 2008-09 to demand re-selection for 2009-10.

My issue is who is the back up 'keeper if Haddin gets injured??

Luke Ronchi very unlucky IMHO

but how many more test matches will either Katich or Noffke play? Noffke may collect the 160k plus cheque and have a poor season never to be seen again. Have no dramas with CB and DC loosing their deals but why those two they are not the future.

Beau Casson should be given a chance and so should Shaun Marsh as they both have something to offer in the next few years

Does that mean Hartley of QLD has been passed over?
He was "the one" after Haddin only a couple of years ago.

well you would have to think that Ronchi and Manou are both in front of Hartley now

good keeping skills but lacks a little in the Batting department. If he was English he would have already played a dozen tests and then dropped......

Chris Rogers now seems at risk of ending up as a one-test wonder

Have the selectors made their minds up on him or just not enough room on the list?

How can he be a one test wonder? he didn't make any runs in it and didn't perform very well apart from that catch.....

I thought a one hit wonder was someone or something that performed or made something well only once.

HOF

Forget the "wonder" bit .... it was just a choice of words, I agree it wasn't a wonderful performance

Focus on the "one test" bit

I would not mind a baggy green cap . 1 test would do just fine.

Katich pura cup season is only better by the Don so have to give him a shot, he is 32 same age as most other cricketers in Aus test team

By not giving one guy a contract CA are pretty much saying that there is not stand out for that spot and the door is left open to those who perform. Which is fair enough.

As for the SA spinners not getting a gig. No arguement there.

Katich well when you get dropped the only way back in is to make runs......and hes made plenty of them. Hence seems reasonable.

his batting has improved 10 fold. if he starts well in pura cup next year and haddin loses form or gets injured manou would propably get the gig

Totally agree, If Haddin went down then Manou would be right in the mix. Just needs to get more consistency in the batting. eg follow up his 190 this season with some 50s and maybe another ton

yes has to keep making runs. average of 40 with 2 hundreds and a 50 is good.
