The four West Indian players, Chris Gayle, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Dwayne Bravo and Shivnarine Cahnerpaul will only return to the Caribbean on May 18, four days prior to the First Test.

And now..
Chris Gayle will not take any part as earlier rumored in the IPL due to a hairline fracture in his groin. He has been advised to have surgery, so also affecting the upcoming test series with the Aussies starting May 22

Agreed, he's more than a bowler.

Doesn't do him justice.

Hmmmm - at this stage I'm struggling to muster any enthusiasm.
I'm sure it will happen though...

I agree. Too many one dayers, too many 20/20 games. Bring on the real stuff, where even a one sided belting holds great entertainment value.

Great to see Tait again with the Aussie shirt on and training with the team.

The fast bowler Shaun Tait took the first public steps from his self-imposed break due to exhaustion when he joined the Australian Test squad at their training camp in Brisbane. Tait stepped down in January due to the physical and mental strains caused by his recovery from injury and his push to hold a place in the Test side.

He will spend two days with the squad for fitness tests after having a contract meeting with James Sutherland, the chief executive of Cricket Australia, and Andrew Hilditch, the chairman of selectors. Tim Nielsen, the coach, felt the camp was a good opportunity for Tait to re-integrate into the squad after his long absence.
