RICKY Ponting has been warned his career could be cut short as it emerged he is dealing with a chronic wrist injury.

Sounds overblown but still, this is not at all ideal with so much cricket ahead.

Interesting. If it is as bad as they're reporting, he'd be better off being rested on home soil then before the overseas tour.
