Obviously he found out I had selected him in the Hogg. The REB curse has struck already. That's it, I'm picking Watto!

Not as dumb as it sounds, wont be able to bowl for 10 weeks is 33 years old, only 4 Australian pacemen have bowled past the age of 35, Lindwall, Miller,Thompson and Mcgrath.

Im glad siddle is getting a run. Im looking forward to him bowling. I really believe this is a great chance for him to become a regular. The boy is young, willing and has a good amount of grunt behind him.

How many of those that started earlier had a delayed start to their test career?

Does it matter when you started, Clark would of bowled more overs in his first class career than the first 3 mentioned, just because you havent debuted till late in your career dosn't mean your body is going to last longer, the facts are when you get to 32 - 33 years of age your body tends to let you down as a fast bowler more often than not.

Irrespective of when he started, Clark's absence will leave a gap in our attack. However, many a stroke of good fortune is born from someone else's misfortune, so there's a chance for Siddle to show us (an the South Africans) what he's got.
Should be a great Test Match, I'm really looking forward to this one.

Huge blow ahead of a crucial series but a lot of people rate Siddle very highly. I thought he showed great character to bowl as well as he did in India given such a tough debut surface and I doubt he'll disgrace himself in his first home test if it's to be.

Of course it does Ned. They don't play five day Shield matches do they. Less days, less overs less wear and tear no?

Hopefully Siddle can do to the Saffies what Clark did to them a few years back.
