BLUES!

Not a bad XI this one
Hughes
Jaques
Katich
Clarke
Haddin
Watson
Thornley
Lee
Hauritz
Clark
Bollinger
You'd be pretty unlucky to get all of them with Pup and Haddin currently hurt and with the way the fixtures are but you get the idea.

Thornley was our skipper last season so I don't see him making way for Henriques, especially for Shield games. Henriques has shown glimpses in the shorter form of the game but as yet not in the longer form.
I didn't put Bracken in my side as he is out for an extended period I believe, not scheduled to come back until Mid December. I reckon Haddin and Pup will be back earlier than that but the majority of the players listed above realistically won't see too much action for the Bluebaggers this season.

Be hard to throw Henriques out.

Try again. It was Bird who got pinged for the suspect action.

Booney has just chucked another name in the ring thinking that Bluebirds of a feather should be thrown together.

Booney good try with the throw.
Henriques off to India for the ODI series. For mine, he will be picked before Thornley when away from the SCG, and Smith when at the SCG, to have the finger spinner/wrist spinner combo with Hauritz. With hauritz playing, thornley wont IMO, doesnt he bowl the offies now??

Horrie hasn't been getting a gig with the Bluebaggers in the Shield games but surely that has to change for his development. We've still got Casson I believe to call upon as well and even Greg Matthews ha ha. Thornley won't be discarded just because he's got red hair CoverKing, he was our skipper last year and he'll continue to get games. Henriques might be OK at smashing cameo knocks and bowling short spells but Thornley is the man the Blues will bank on to construct an innings in the Shield.

Is this the best squad of all time?

Well maybe not all time because the Blues squad of about 10 years ago might have them covered, but look at this:
http://www.nswblues.com.au/the_team/player_profiles/Players who have represented Australia:
Bollinger, Bracken, Casson, Clark, Clarke, Haddin, Hauritz, Henriques, Hughes, Jaques, Katich, Lee, Warner, Watson. 14!
Players who will represent Australia:
Hazlewood, Khawaja, Smith.
Wow!

Oops my bad, didn't see this thread.
Agree 100% REB.
As long as Khawaja gets games in the SS I'm happy.

This is getting beyond the joke Brad Hodge cant make his way into any form of the game for Australia, is clearly in the top 5 bats in Australia, he is probably in the top 10 bats in world cricket.

His problem is that he's clearly in the top 5 biggest w*nkers going around. I think the side would look to have blokes that would 'fit in'. There are plenty of blokes ahead of Splodge in my opinion.

Do you know him personally do you, Warnie always got a game and is regarded as a wan**r. I thought you just pick the best side in Australia, hey If we done that we would of even won the Ashes. Oh well I better get used to the names of Henriques, Voges, White, S.Marsh, A.McDonald as our future.

No, I don't but how does that even matter? He's made a goose of himself in the media whining about not getting a game, he's better off shutting up, making runs and see if things fall his way. Hey, granted he's a better bat than some other nuff nuffs that have got a game, but if the Aussie side is looking to the future, Hodge isn't part of it.
PS. Warnie is still a w*nker.

Cousin Hodgey is his own worse enemy
He has had a raw deal
averages 50+ in tests
Made a double ton vrs the Proteas
BUT
He does make comments to the press that has stuffed him up
Hodgeys latest comment
Went something like this
_______________________________________________
I got a better chance or riding in next years Melbourne
Cup then getting a call up from the selectors
________________________________________________
The biggest problem for Hodgey is being a good batter in a great era of Oz batters

He is clearly one of the best 5 bats. I think that is undisputeable.
You must look at why he is not getting picked?
IMO he must be such a d***head that the Aussies selectors thinks its not worth the risk and he will have too greater effect on team harmony! The aussies have always said that wankers are often found out and quickly discarded from the side. This is clearly the case IMO as to why Hodge has not been picked for so long!

You're right it is getting beyond a joke. We heard you the 227th time. Have a whine and do the time. That's the situation with Hodge.
