Match Referee Chris Broad cites Doug Bollinger for dissent

I would really love to see on Youtube when Chris Broad smashed the stumps with his bat in the 1988 Test at Sydney. I know perhaps you should not highlight something that's over 20 years ago - a lot of water under the bridge in that time. But really I just think that's so funny to see my topic title. :lol:

I agree Spelly.

Another one I love hearing is Mike Holding going on about sportmanship and respecting the umpire's decision. All that coming from the man who kicked down a set of stumps after an appeal was refused and also ran through an umpire IIRC.

As you said though, lots of water under the bridge.

Reckon that was Colin Croft who ran through the umpire, DW.

He pissed off the umpire. Never a good look. Especially when the player is right.

That was during the BiCentennial test. Steve Waugh who was the bowler gave him a lovely sarcastic round of applause. That prick caned us during 1986-87 but he did **** all after that. Now his son is cleaning us up in the Ashes.

of course he needed to be dealt with for this you cant show dissent like that (even though as reb says he was probably right) i bet you woud have a different response if someone liked harbhajan ha kicked the ground
