How the **** does that spud Ludeman get a game? Cant even get a gig for the worst shield side
Does that mean he is the next in line for a keeping gig?
Where is Wade or Nevill?
Cowan gets to play a 2 day match only where as Hughes and Marsh get to play the 3 day game which is the last match to get form, I just dont understand what the selectors are up to.
5 Redbacks in the 2 day match

Looks like they have picked players on their availabilty. KFC Big Bash starts around then. Only possible reason Ludeman is in is because all the other keepers would be in the big bash.

Surely Country comes first?
Guys have been selected for Australia with good performances in a Chairmans XI match.
The leading run scorer (Forrest) and wicket taker (Herrick) in shield cricket this season havnt got a gig.
What I find bizarre is that if Haddin gets injured they will pick a keeper for the Boxing Day Test on the back of a few big bash matches.

Simple
If you dont make yourself available you should be crossed of the list to be next in line to play test cricket.

Apart from Cooper, are any of these in T/20 squads. Haberfield will have to withdraw, he is playing T/20 for the mighty Bulls against SACA U19's on 14/12. I will ring Mickey Arthur and tell him to p..s off. 5 SA players, seriously, they might as well play Sturt.

My concern is that if a test player gets injured before boxing day do they grab someone who has performed well in the 3 day match or choose someone that has just played a few games of T20?
The keeper is my main concern, if Haddin is injured I would think Wade is next in line but by then he would have gone 5 weeks without a proper hit

Plenty of time to play big bash after you establish yourself in the Aussie test side. The 3 day match will potentially be a shootout between Hughes and Marsh for the opening spot in a Boxing day test, would you give that up? I know what id choose

I'm rating this Lalor bloke, and he has the right pedigree (a blue cap).

But seriously, straight out of the Redbacks two's, we have Ludicrous wicketkeeping...

I think its a great move by CA, why give the Indians a good hitout, pick all south australians that are not involved in big bash.

We know what the test X1 will be for Melbourne, its hardly an audition for anyone. Only changes made will be to bring in currently injured players, Watson and maybe Marsh and Hughes is gone wont matter if he makes 200 in the warm up against India.

Its just common sense to me what they are doing

Waste of time....when the Indians see these sides can anyone really see Sachin ect busting out of their skins to play in such a farcicle match...why even bother. Someone will say that its great for the young guys, but as soon as Ludeman was included it lost me
