It's ok, Watto will make runs in the second innings. First innings runs are over-rated.

Hehehe

I reckon if you could wrap up Watsons career in one innings that was just it.

Some glorious drives, a gun pull shot, looked a million dollars got a good start, and then got out on pitch doing a tad to the biggest weakness in test cricket!

WHUFC youre a smart poster
I have theories why he gets out LBW so often
Is it because he is almost unbowlable ?
Because he gets in line , NEVER shirks the issue, he increases his chances of being LBW
When was the last time Watto got bowled in Test cricket
Should we call him Shane Walltson ?

Wallston with a good 2nd innings knock could be the leading runscorer in the series
That's not bad for an allrounder batting top 3

Not bad for a bloke making all his runs in the second innings, generally in Tests when the series has been decided or all but.

Watson averages more in the 1st innings than the 2nd.

Watson has hit 4x 100's and 4x 90's - 2x 100's and 2x 90's have been in the 2nd innings of a test.

3334 career runs:
1938 in the 1st innings
1396 in the 2nd innings

Batted 94 innings, has scored over 50 on only 26 occasions (11x in 2nd innings) which i believe is around the 28% mark..

DisMissALs:
Caught: 48
LBW: 26
Bowled: 12
Stumped/Run Out: 5

Based on that, i would hardly call him a 2nd innings specialst, they are fairly even records across both digs (albeit not outstanding)

Dead Rubber for the Series maybe, but reckon Australia are going all out to go 5-0 here and at the same time there is no way England will just roll over and give the Aussies a Whitewash... Lots on the line in this game!
