What a finish
Some guys stood up today in the field
Bresnan run out by Maxwhirlllllll
Bopara stumped by the amazing fleet handed Wade
And THAT man Watson who today was only 100 short of this 10th ODI hundred with the bat , won the game getting the danger man Tredwell out.

Looks like the new drop in pitches aren't as easy to bat on.

was mostly watching the tennis, but seemed pretty slow.

to me though, the adelaide wicket pretty much had the character of a drop in wicket anyway, but probably holds together a little more than old adelaide. hopefulle they can get it a bit quicker for the future one dayers, and get it breaking up a bit more in the FC and Tests, but it was never going to turn into the gabba

Did wade drop the catch? Bopara was walking until he realised the ball was on the ground.

Another blunder by Wade at AO, this time luck was on his side.
Fantastic fielding by the No Show but he had to make up for his pathetic bowling display somehow.
Once again good to have a skipper in charge who bats first

i think he missed it completely didnt he? i reckon he thought he was out stumped, but when the ball was on the ground maybe thought wade whipped the bails off without the ball in hand?

I didn't think Bopara hit it, was there something I missed on a replay? Was good work by Wade to just keep it in front IMHO. Standing up to a guy mixing it up all the time is tough and you just want him to not let the ball get away on those. POMs crying foul but the angle from behind shows a clear gap between foot and ground and also bail and stump. Clearly out IMHO.

Good to see a game that doesn't feel like a home run derby. The good batsmen were able to score runs and hit boundaries, the good bowlers could get movement and give batsmen trouble and in between we had a game decided by skill and not which team can slog more.
