Lara 12 away

Needs 12 runs tomorrow to equal Allan Border as the most prolific run-scorer in Test Cricket.

Currently 202 not out, so once he reaches 215 (if he does), he will be the new holder for the most runs by an International Test Cricketer.

it will be a good effort by Lara who will get there in about 50 less innings and 30 less tests than AB
has always been a favourite of mine to watch, ever since his 277 against us at the SCG all those

Lara the king

Postby RustyCage » Fri Nov 25, 2005 10:47 pm

Hope he doesn't get it tomorrow morning. Hope he gets out or runs out of partners! Im going on Sunday and I would love to see it happen in person. The guy is one of the greatest players in the history of the game. I was lucky enough to stand behind the nets at the Adelaide Oval yesterday and watch him bat for 15 minutes. One of the highlights of my cricket watching career.
I'm gonna break my rusty cage and run

I'm going on Sunday as well, and I'm thinking the same thing.

the thing with Lara is that he could do it in the first over in the morning, he was 190 at the start of a Brett Lee over late in the day and in 3 balls had gone onto 200, all class

Can't deny how good he his, i hope he get's it against us, it's only fair IMO that he get's it against the best team in the world, because he's close, if not the best batter in the world.

Should make for good viewing.

You can have Tendulkar and Waugh but for mine, Lara is THE batsman of his generation.

I've never understood all the hype in the Australian media about Lars being McGrath's bunny.

He's scored that many friggin' runs against Australia it's npt funny.

I'll never forget his 150-odd in the second innings with one wicket in hand to lead the Windies to an unlikely win against Australia in Steve Waugh's first series as captain.

A cricket icon.
